Adding information to your QR code might seem tempting but it’s not recommended. Doing so uses up the code’s error correction and makes it unnecessarily complex. Additionally, adding images and logos etc. would make it harder to print, scan and ultimately, do its job.

QR codes are built for functionality rather than visual enhancement.

However, if you do decide to modify your QR code, it is important to get your barcode verified to determine if it is going to successfully scan by retailers and consumers.
