Pallet label best practice
Use two identical labels for each pallet, one on a short side and one on a long side
The label must include an SSCC which is encoded into the GS1-128.
If there are two or more barcodes on the label, the SSCC should be in the bottom barcode.
The barcode on the pallet must be upright in the ‘picket fence’ orientation.
Barcodes, including Quiet Zones (link to Quiet Zone), must be no closer than 50 mm to a vertical edge.
Minimum height of the bars must be 32 mm. There is no maximum height for the barcode.

Placement by pallet size
The barcodes on all pallet types should be affixed at a height ranging from 400 mm to 800 mm above the pallet's base.
The barcode should be affixed as high as possible on the pallet to ensure its visibility while also taking measures to safeguard the barcode from damage.
For further information on pallet label placement, you can refer to the Logistic Label Guideline.
