My Numberbank: Product image link
When adding product information against a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) in My Numberbank, you will come across the product image link attribute at the bottom of the product information page. This field enables you to provide a picture of the product in question.

By providing an image of your product to My Numberbank and, in turn, Verified by GS1, you can ensure that product listings are accurate and visually appealing, while also helping consumers feel more confident that they are purchasing authentic products.
There are two things that need to be considering when getting your image into My Numberbank.
Best practice for the image itself. This would include what the image looks like and also the naming convention.
How to provide the image. Instead of uploaded files, such as JPEG or PNG into My Numberbank, you need to host the image online and provide the link.

1. Best practice for the image
It is important that the highest quality and size of image is used. GS1 provides guidance to ensure your images are optimised.
It should be a high resolution product image that clearly depicts the primary selling surface of the product. Retailers should be able to use the image to authenticate the identity of the item.
Other tips include using an image with a solid white background without borders and not using images with any promotional messages or temporary flashes (e.g., New’, ‘Meal Deal’ or ‘2 for £3’).
GS1 has standards which establishe rules for the storage of digital images associated to products. More information on image specifications can be found throughout the document.
A filename is required to uniquely identify your product image file. GS1 has a recommend naming convention for your images. It makes use of the unique identifier for your product - the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), as well as the image type and describing which way the product is facing.

2. How to host the image online
Hosting an image online is quite straightforward. Here are the general steps you can follow:
Choose an image hosting service: there are many free and paid options available, such as Imgur, Postimages, and Flickr (please note that the company names provided are intended to be illustrative – GS1 UK does not recommend any specific hosting providers).
Create an account: some services require you to sign up for an account. This helps you manage your images and access additional features.
Upload Your Image: Go to the upload section of the chosen service, click the upload button and select the image file from your device. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the image into the upload area.
Generate a URL: Once the image is uploaded, the service will provide a URL link. This link can be used to share the image online.
Test the URL: Open the URL in a web browser to ensure the image is displayed correctly.
Upload to My Numberbank: Copy and paste the URL into product image link field in MNB.
Preview image: Click on preview web resource to check the image works ok.
